Leander has ramped up his aggressive workout routine for a televised fight airing live February 20, 2009 on ESPN 2 Friday Night Fights, from the University Center Arena of Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  Imperial managed to knockout a few hours out of his intense 8-hour-a-day training schedule for him to speak to its Structured Settlements division.

“In two years I will be the Heavy Weight Champion of the World,” announced Leander.  “When you love what you do and you have discipline, achieving your goals becomes easy!”  “In boxing you train for two months for a fight that could last as little as two seconds in the ring,” he continued.  “Each time I step into the ring I put my pride on the line.”

Born and raised in Boca Raton, Florida, “The Viking” started his career training two-time Heavy Weight Champion of the World, Shannon Briggs. Recently, Erik trained actor Mickey Rourke for his Academy Award-nominated role in Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler. Throughout his life, Leander has concentrated on promoting a healthy wellbeing through the services he provides others, from managing his own gym to customizing specialized meal plans for his clients. All of these successes have guided him in his pursuit of boxing infamy.
